Flush Cup Placement

I've seen the threads on flush cups and it's pretty straight forward, but I'm trying to decide where I want them. I know I am going to put one on each side of the buttstock, that's a no brainer. But, the forearm is where I'm having issues.

I have a B&C Tactical Medalist A2 and as most of you know, there is a beveled raised area on the left and right side of the stock which is meant as a handhold (which I really like). But, this doesn't provide a nice flat surface for mounting of flush cups. I don't really want to grind away the raised area and was considering removing the sling swivel and putting just one single flush cup on the bottom of the stock. This would allow me to move the sling to either the right or left side of the stock, but it would still attach to the same place as the swivel stud.

What do you think ..... has anyone done it this way?

Re: Flush Cup Placement

I dunno what to do about your forearm, I have an A3 and I put mine on the left side front and rear. Be forewarned, the buttstock is hollow, so you'll either want to fill it, or make sure you get lots of adhesive built up inside around the hole.

Re: Flush Cup Placement

Im having a Manners MCS T3 made with flush cups. Im assuming that Manners would ensure that the flush cups have solid bite into the stock? And now you have me wondering where I want mine. Like you said, the rear is a no brainer. But I dont really want the one on the forend being in the way of my hand if I want to shoot the gun off hand. Hmmmm?

Wouldn't you want to epoxy it in there? it would be a bad day if you were throwing it up on your shoulder and it come ripping out of there and all of the sudden your pride and joy in on the ground. then not mention no you have a giant hole in your stock. the only way to fix that is if you epoxy it...

Just realized this is an OLD post...
