I have a Remington 700 in 308, I have all but shot out the barrel (over 10K rounds) I plan to send it to GAP to get work done, I have a buddy who has a new Hart 260 blank for sale for cheap, I know GAP uses bartlin barrels and they have a good following, my questions are is Hart as good or similar to bartlin. My 308 barrel is a Lilja and it has served my well but I can get this barrel less then $50. Opinions welcome thanks

I prefer Bartlein but if you can get a new Hart for $50 I'd get it. With GAP doing the work I doubt you could tell the difference if there's a Hart or a Bartlien on it.

** Just make sure to look through the bore of it and make sure it hasn't been sitting in a damp corner for the past 10 years. Stainless is steel is corrosion resistant....to a point. Just check the bore and make sure the barrel is strait and you should be fine.

If you don't buy it, give me his phone number and I'll give him $100 for it. Hart barrels rock, my last 2 Harts were stunningly repeatable.

Once you get to Bartlein, Hart, Hawk Hill, etc they're splitting RCH's in performance and it's not brand to brand, it's "install job to install job" and the biggest issue is when a guy cuts corners and gets a shitbird to install it.

You don't have that issue, so just get one of the barrels and rock on... actually, get the bartlein and the hart, I'll give you $100 for the Hart and you can double your moeny on it.
