I' have a sav. 110BA 338 LM. A friend is going to sell me his NF 12-42x56 br, for a very good price. How can i get over 1000 yrds + .
as far as i know it has 40 moa elv. but i still whant a resonable zero

The 110 BA has a 20 MOA McCann style base on it. A set of Nightforce Extra High or Extreme High rings between the base and optic should get you there unless you need a lot of travel to get to 1000 yds.

what is a good zero? I'm would like to have the option to get over a 1000 yrds. OR should i go with the vx3 8.5-25x50. I have one on my rem 700bdl 300 ultra mag set out to a 1000 yrds

The zero distance is completely up to you. I zero most of my guns at 200m because it puts me minute of deer or elk out to 300m without having to think about anything. Then generally a mil at 400 meters. Things change more inconsistently between calibers FOR ME beyond that. But it is up to you based on your intentions with the rifle. The absolute distance you are capable of shooting will not be effected by the distance you zero. It will not change the amount of internal adjustment you have at your disposal.
