Chargemaster for Stick Powders?

It will work fine but occassionally throw a charge .1-.2gr over. Use the "straw mod" to minimize those occurences.

I use my chargemaster for everything...

My RCBS Chargemaster works great with Varget. Yes, you will every once and a while get a charge over by .1 or .2, which you will be alerted to by the Chargemaster itself. Think about 2-3 out of every 100 charges will be thrown over your desired charge weight.

I also find that when the Chargemaster sits with powder in it for a period of time, the powder gets more compact, which causes the erroneous overcharge in the beginning of a reloading string.

I love the Chargemaster. I cannot imagine a better system out there for reloading by weight.

Used it for several thousand rounds and N140 with great success and the caveats above. Watch it closely as it finished the load. Sometimes I think it fibs about the last .1...be it drafts, algorithms or an errant kernel.

If you do the straw mod it works great. Its also worthwhile to adjust the three speed settings. It really speeds up the throws. Once I did the mods to it, it throws Varget and H1000 great. Like they said it messes up a couple times in 100 or so throws.

It works fine with stick powders and have loaded thousands of rounds with it. I don't use the straw modification and put quarters under the two front feet instead. I generally set it for .2 grains less than my desired charge then trickle up with a Omega.
