Cold hammer forged 18" stainless steel barrel (no word on alloy but I'm guessing AISI 410)
Melonited then lapped.

This should be a superb carbine.

Sure, looks nice, but the only thing Mk12 about that rifle is the barrel length. Using Navy designations as a marketing tool is smart but erks me a little bit. Just my opinion.

Especially since one can obtain an exact replica of the Mk12 from Centurion.

not true! the gas block, KAC front sight, and sopmod stock are spec parts! LOL, regardless i'm sure it is a nice rifle. I like my spec build more, but the DD is plenty capable.

The only thing that resembles the Mk12 is the gas block. Maybe the grip too. That's about it.

I think the marketing people got a little too aggressive when naming this one.

I agree. I think they got carried away in calling it a MK12. Wonder what the price tag on this will be.
