I have his book. Interesting read. Of his group he was the one that wanted to continue the mission, his comrades were more inclined to "Banzai" and go out in a "blaze of glory" but he held them in check.

It was a Japanese student that finally gained his trust and arranged the meeting with his CO.

Copy of the book I have appears to have his signature in the front leaf in ink. Looks original. Ill have to dig it out and post a pic maybe someone can translate what is written.
