Not at all. In fact, I am tired of these addicts all being called "The best of their generation..." River Phoenix, Heath Ledger, Jackson, Hoffman, Houston, Winehouse... were not the best of their generation. They were drug addicts... found as corpses with bloodstreams full of sh**.
Want to see the best of a generation:
Shot, grenaded and still tough and in command enough to come out on his feet and to keep his finger off his trigger. Want to see the best of any generation? Look at who's putting on a uniform to serve their country, state, county or town... Because the greatest of a generation should never be defined by some whiny, spoiled, pampered, under-worked, self-important, drug-addled Hollywood corpse with a needle sticking out of its dead arm.

Agree 100%. I guess when Hollywood types OD it's more noteworthy than the regular junkie on the street. Tired of hearing about the great loss. Just a wealthy junkie.
