Need help, 6.5-06 loading

I'm waiting on C. Dixon's Winchester group buy to build a 6.5-06, and have been acquiring parts and components as time goes by. Just need a DBM setup, don't laugh, and a trigger and I'll be set.

I need help in a powder selection, I've been eyeballing Norma MRP, because of it's availability, but also have been stockpiling RL 25 for use in other guns. Will the RL 25 work with 136 gr scenars, I bought a ton of them? There seems to be no published data on the combo, but RL 19 & 22 are listed, and slower powders also, can't see why it wont fit the bill.

I just had a 6.5 x 06 built and this is a question I also have. I have been using H4350. Norma MRP is listed in the Berger Manual for a 140 grn. Seems like RL 22 is listed as well as H4831sc. The Hodgdon Manual/magazine shows H 1000 and H100V as possible choices but non exactly list the bulllet you are seeking to use.

I like this cartridge, but sometimes you are doing a little figuring on what you want to shoot. I am just throwing out some powder options. As non of the data I have lists the 136 grn bullet. I am looking between the 130 grn Nos and 142 grn Sierra HBPT MK.

This gun is doing what I want with far less recoil. I have not got it sorted yet.

Thanks George, I looked through the Berger and Hornady manuals, never even thought of Hodgdon's???? But I'm not about to get into the powder hide and seek game either, so most Hodgdon is out right now.

THis case is very similar to the 6.5x284, and Lapua's powder choice there is N560, so something in that range will do, 25 may be too slow?

Too slow might not be the best choice of words, explosive might be better, I think RL 25 is one of those chemie powders that may be finicky in smaller cases.
