I'll start off. This is my mountain to mountain gun for deer hunting in Pa. Built by Bob Green.

Hell I'm scared to post mine. I don't want to be called a liar. I shot it a few weeks ago and even had a witness. It's not anything I could consistantly recreate, so it's not a example of my actual skill. Just a some lucky shooting on a lucky day.

Some fantastic shooting Gents, Damn!

Best one ever...hmmm. That would be a 20d group I fired shooting highpower with an M-14 at Quantico in 1988. A 200-17X at 600yds. 3 shots in a 12" 10-ring and 17 shots in the 6" X-ring, iron sights, prone and slung. The coach was calling wind.
Shot a lot tighter groups in my life but this was the "best" one.

This is one I make no claims I can consistently recreate. No doubt I felt the pressure on the 5th shot!

Shot this when working up a load. Beanland chambered 6x47, Bighorn action, Bartlein barrel, shot prone/bipod/squeeze bag, 100yds.

That barrel is shot out. It's back at Beanland's right now getting a new barrel.

These 2 groups were shot with a Hall model B with Lilja barrel in 6ppc. 5 shot's in each group at 100 yards. What's with all the 3 shot groups?

I'm with You. I'm new to the LR hobby my "best" groups are many, many others "sub par" group I'm sure.

I do probably have some relatively impressive PISTOL targets I've shot over the years, between bullseye and simply being a handgun loonie and shooting a lot.

FN in MT

Strange... my best groups seem to occur whenever I don't have a camera with me.

but... I do have two personal bests with a factory remington tactical 20" barreled action that happened on the same day...

a little gust indicated the 600 yard line flag must have taken one 168 A-Max for a little joy ride by the time it reached 1000y

Not as good as some have posted here, but I'm pretty proud of this since its a 20" factory barrel .308 Rem 700 SPS tactical. Mark @ SAC did a little magic to it.....

During Load development after getting the rifle back:

645 yds

1000 yds. Bottom 2 were sighters, then made a self-correction using the reticle after seeing the splashes.

Edit: The last one is why I'm a big fanboy of S&B glass. The ability to clearly see the impacts at 1000yds without the need for a spotting scope and to accurately use the reticle for adjustments is worth the $$!

IMAGE_019.jpgNotice I did not crop out the flyer!! Yea not a great group at 525 yrds, but the 3 in one hole I have yet to duplicate. I did this right at dusk with a factory 5R with 155 Lapua's. Check the date, 2008.

Only 100 yards, but only my 2nd time shooting a bolt rifle. 1st time with the AICS 1.5 for zeroing. This group was with 175gr HSM BTHP. Best group I have ever shot so far. Not sure what the MOA is.

Man, these are some nice shooting.

I had some good luck the day I shot this group. Wish I could do this more often.

I know many here will be quite ready to dismiss my "best group" ever, since it's not long range, but it was when I shot my first "possible" when I was on the University of Georgia's rifle team. 3 position small bore.

The coach, Sgt. Ernie Davis, took my three targets, stapled them together, held them up in front of a light, and all you could see were 10 holes in the dead center of each bull.

Felt good.

I have another one "easily dismissed", but felt darn good...
Local bench shooter and I were both at our range warming up for a local "fun match". Him with his $x,xxx benchrest gear, me with my stock Swede M96 Mauser. Just didn't have time to "warm up" anything better. Just for fun I shot my last 5 rounds prone, off a bag, hasty-slinged.

100 yards. 5 shots. 4 in 3/8", the fifth opened it up to 5/8".
I listened to a few minutes of "yer shootin too fast, that barrel'l heat up and throw flyers...", then at a line break we pulled targets...
I showed him.. "Sure enough, I threw one..."
I think I managed to rattle him a little... The next weekend at the "fun match" at 440 yards, he missed one of the five targets... I missed four of course, my eyes can't see the targets over iron sights at 440 yards (oil bottles).

Still.. I still have that target someplace.
Not only is it a great group for an iron sighted swede mauser, but the look on his face when I showed him the target... THAT is what makes it "the best".
