Don't laugh too hard
I watched Godzilla vs King Ghidorah this morning... who doesn't love Godzilla ?
As long as he looks right, I'm in !
As long as it doesn't look like that gay version with Matthew Broderick.......I'd probably see it anyway but this little guy looks like the Original Gangster of my youth. I'd kill to see an Ultra Man movie as well. Maybe Ultra Man and Godzilla whooping on some Gaiju's ass.
When I worked in Japan about ten years ago there were still shit tons of Ultraman movies and shows still being made and playing on TV. So it's been ongoing in Japan since it's inception.
Ultraman superb and Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot is fav.
8 Man or Eight Man, one of my all time favs. I cannot remember the original Japan movie or show name about a cyborg police detective late 40s or early 50s, the original Robocop.
I still watch these as a SciFi lover from the 50s and 60s.
Ok, so who remembers this! Battleship turned space carrier, Yamato.
How can you not like a movie about giant monsters tearing up shit?
On the other hand I can't help but think for the cost of making both movies: $310,000,000 +++ we could already be breeding reasonably large and ill-tempered KOMOD-EMU hybrids that we can actually let tear shit up in any neighborhood with a homeowner's association and then hunt.
Like a Disney fucking safari, but with velociraptors and guns. And even you rich fuckers could use helicopters and night vision.
For those who read too many books I’ll use pics:

Ok, well if you dig this kind stuff then you should find this film. Super wacky but pretty interesting/entertaining. Yeah Johnny was great, as a kid that was super amazing.

I would be so in for this.Macross (ie Robotech) is another one that's been in pre-production for years trying to get a green light to no avail.
The "atomic tests as cover for trying to kill it" is an intriguing subplot.
Its Legendary, which means it probably won't suck.
My interest is piqued...
...I've now worked on both modern film versions![]()
