I looked on SWFA's website and couldn't find a total elevation adjustment value for the 12x power MIL/MIL with the milquad reticle. Anybody know how much it has?

I picked up a couple of the 12X recently. They have 43 mils in the erector, top to bottom.

I have them mounted on a 30-06 and a 308Win, both on 45 moa rails. They both give right at 33.3 mils available with a 100 yard zero.

.308 with 33 Mils on top? What distance are you going to effectively shoot to? Curiosity only so don't take it wrong.

I shoot the 208 AMax at 2600 fps. I'm typically at 4000' or higher elevation. It's pretty good out to 1200yds or so, In good conditions it surprises me at 1500.

I'm not averse to plinking out to a mile or even further. This scope on a 45 MOA rail lets me dial that far. Then there's another 10 mils in reticle for a quick reticle holdoff shot is desired.

Being a southpaw, I really like the rear-parallax. I can adjust it without breaking position.

..... What about customer service and tracking?

SWFA gives these scopes a Lifetime Warranty. You really don't hear much about them going down though.

I have an older 16X mildot/moa model that I bought used about seven years ago. It has tracked perfectly. These new 12X seem fine too, but obviously I haven't had them long.

When I was zeroing these scopes I did the normal 100 yard zero. As I wasdoing my final correction to zero, I cranked the turrets twice from top to bottom, stop to stop, before returning to my final corrected zero. Then I fired a check round at my 100 yard target to see where it would hit. Here is the target with the last check round circled, for both the 308, and the 30-06.

These scopes have been made for some time. I think since the 1970s or maybe '80s. Built to a military contract spec, first by Tasco, then SWFA acquired rights to it. They have proven to be reliable over a few decades.

wow man. Do you document everything? Thats amazing. My buddy just ordered one tonight for that 270. Im going to work up the loads but before we stretch it out I will do a box test. You want results? Should I leave this thread open?

I don't generally document everything. When I was considering these scopes I looked for some reviews but couldn't really find much. So I decided to write up a little review and posted it on a couple other forums. So for that reason I did get some pics and data. Figured it might be useful information for someone else. When I saw your post here I figured you might be interested too.

You can leave this open if you want, someone else might be looking for info too.
