Shooting 130gr. Norma Golden Target bullets. Meplats are not square, usally sloping from one side to the other. Group size at 300 yds is a core group of about 1.5 inches with 3 to 4 flyers approx. 1.5 inch from main group. Could be at any position of main group at any time during string of fire, 10 shots.

Should I trim meplat or look for other problems? I am using new and several times fired brass that has been annealed, trimmed and prepped loaded on a promethius. No difference in new or fired brass.
IOR scope, bedded rock solid stock, Huber trigger, bighorn action.

Going to try some A-max next day or so.

Thanks, any suggestions will be appreciated.

I don't trim meplats, nor do I have experience with trimming them. But I can tell you that meplats are not the cause of your fliers.

What do you use for powder? How far off the lands are you seating these bullets? I'd like to see what you use for a rest, rear bag? Weight of your trigger, all the good stuff. I trim the 105 Hornadys but not really sure if it helps, my flyers are usually 4 into the 4s to 6s and a flyer out a 3/8" 300yds. Like this group.
