New Vectronix Terrapin X

You think $200 makes any difference in what I said or are you just splitting hairs because you're bored?

I do think $200+ might make a difference for some when comparing to other LRF they may be considering. Just clarifying for those that may be on the fence about buying one.

I doubt there's going to be any issue with the lasers performance or the link with the Kestrel.

The question is, after $2000+ dollars, how will owners be treated when one goes down.

I thought this was covered. Their warranty is 3 years for electronics and lifetime for optics.

What am I missing as I am likely to order one but don't want to make an error

It costing as much to fix as you paid for it, or more.

It costs nothing if it is under warranty. If you are alluding to repair costs after the warranty expires, that is a different story. However, your comment applies only to the old Terrapin. How do you know what the costs are for repairing the new one?

I dont. It's my experience from the old one.

Boom !

All I really care about is if it ranges like the original terrapin. The bluetooth connection is great, but just give me a rangefinder that will consistently range a steel target at 1500-2000 yards. I’ve had pretty much everything on the market and none of them will do that, except the original terrapin that I regret selling.

They have a history of leaving people high and dry. Whether charging as much or more than the original cost of the unit for repairs or taking forever, over a year in one place, to fix the problem.

You go ahead and spend the money, somebody has to be the guinea pig.

I would wait until these guys prove themselves. Does anyone else find it funny that Low light got a unit yet they delayed shipping on everybody else's for 30 days?

Not strange at all. Three are a number of reasons for the delay and I am sure they are supply chain types of problems versus design problems.

Frank got the same production unit that everyone will get and it seems pretty comparable to the original

And when does the 3 year warranty start??

In the original Terrapins.... It started when the unit hit the distributors shelf and not when it arrived to the end user. So if it sat on the shelf for 6 months, the user got a 2.5 year warranty.... Not the stated 3 year warranty. That's CRAP!!!!

Like others, I will be curious to see how the service is from the company more than anything else.

Just my $0.02.

Let’s forget that the whole premise is a bit silly and sensational; but that’s some incredibly poor editing!

I find it a bit sad that something so simple could pass so many people in the gun industry.

Even my Son knows you’re not going to take a high angle shot off a 6 inch Harris.

Come on guys this is worse than “Shooter” and the long range shot with the stew can covering way to many Mils in the scope.
