Just sent that JD pic to my buddy back home in IA. He raises 1k head a year for sale. Some amazing beef. Have whats left of a 1/2 in my freezer.
Boy was more crazy about tractors than girls for a long time. Got him a dang good woman (even though she is a Cornhusker fan). They are raising their kids right on several hundred acres in podunk no-where. Good people.

Here’s the scenario: you are a sniper on a solo mission.
The plan calls for crawling on your belly for a considerable distance in your ghillie suit to get into a position to take the shot at night with your suppressed rifle and thermal vision.
It will take about 48 hours to get into position.
You are 24 hours into your mission and half way to the OP where you will take your shot. The field is wide and flat except for a few gullies. The grass is about a foot high except for what you see in the video.
The time is 1300. It’s windy and hard to hear. You stop to rest and in about an hour the wind subsides and you can hear better without the grass rustling and despite your ghillie suit over your ears.
Now you hear the rattling and discover your in the midst of a reptilian orgy.

@GUN NUT in IA
I think a different fence. He is down in SW IA. About 20 mi N of the MO line and 25 W of NE line.
In between Red Oak, Shenandoah, and Clarinda.
My folks still live there.
Guess a doper or two got shot by each other in Shenandoah today. No real info yet. No big loss either......
You have obviously never heard of a shit-eating snake.I would hope that the snakes hate the smell of human feces, as I would have just soiled myself.
At least you wouldn't have to worry about an enemy patrol in that field.Im thinking call for a fire mission. Troops in the open, 10 rounds willy peat, fire for effect... danger close on my pos... at least it'd be quicker than a slow bite death.
Or a couple MOABs...
But thats just me.
This is a serious "no means no".

Family farm closer to Bedford or Clarinda?
Had many a fried catfish dinners at the cafe on the east side of 71 there in Braddyville with my grandma as a boy. She was born and raised in Gravity and lived in Clarinda her adult life.
Ran a store on the square for years and ended up working at Lisle Tool for a while before retirement.
I still have an oil filter wrench she made and I watched her do it. Spot welding the band to the steel where the handle cams to lock down on it was her job.
I thought most good old boys measured drives by the 6 pack? ?
You have any redheaded sisters? I prolly tried to date em in high school......
Good stuff. I bet we know some of the same folks.
