There is a “youth march” that is going to be a couple hundred yards from my house, in the highest demo area of St. Louis, on Saturday. Alerts have been flying for the last three days about it. They’re taking this shit out of the ghetto and dropping it on my doorstep. I have to leave my fucking house for this shit. I, like a lot of you, want to know the facts before I make a judgement. For instance, I want to see the video of how he went from being on his feet to being on his stomach. Then after the take down, what was his behavior? I know from experience, it's safer for all parties to keep him down. Secondly, I want to hear what the others officers were saying to the higher ranking officer. It's not likely they would (anywhere) drag the superior officer off this guy! I don't think for a minute that this officer meant to kill this man. This is my policy when being stopped or going through a road block: If it's dark, I turn my inside lights on so the officer can see inside my vehicle. Before he/she approaches my vehicle, my hands are out my window, palms up. If I have a weapon, that's the first words out of my mouth. This has happen to me twice, once by a Mississippi State Trooper, and once by a deputy sheriff. Neither time did they ask for my weapon. In fact the trooper turned his back on me while going back to get his ticket book! LOL As has been stated, teach your children to be police when they encounter law enforcement.
