At least I can fit all my rounds into magazines and load them all in a 3a vest.

I might suggest folks do a bit of stocking up on liquidity.
Enough to pay your property taxes, keep the power and water on, as well as buy groceries and gas if the economy / income tanks hard.

I guess there's no time like the present to begin stocking up/prepping. ...But man, it seems a little late in the game to start.

If you read recent history, you'll see that in times of starvation, if you have food that tends to be what will get you anything else.
(Assuming you have the means to hold onto your food).

As previously stated if you are just starting to stock up its alittle late in the game! If its firearms related your basically screwed! Nothing is going to normalize on that front. If its home goods/food buy whatever you can with whatever extra money you can! Waiting until a crisis is not the time to start stock piling. Most people who are prepared have been doing it for years and still aren't able to relax in today current times! To all that are prepared and do feel good about your situation HELP others who need guidance with "stocking up" especially neighbors you will want them as allies instead of looking for a handout when SHTF!
At this point, what you have, is kinda what you have. Ammo is gone. Conserve what you have. Get zero’d and be done. Spare parts.
What you really need is body armor. And about a 7 days ration of food to “get you by” that you can carry.
In closing, nothing will change without a show of force. However way that may happen. Cowering in your “bunker” with a 2 years stock of supplies if SHTF is the most yellow dogged thing Ive ever heard of. Time IS NOT on your side.

None of us really understands what a PC driven, SJW society could be like. What you stock up will be declared antisocial hoarding, ferreted out, and felonious. The SJW's cannot tolerate defiance, and folks with enough will be shook down to give away to those who never lifted a finger on their own behalf. No matter how much ammo you have stocked up, the most important one will will be that last one you saved for yourself. I kid you not. Honestly, I would probably not want to be alive in what's coming down the road in the next two years. Everything will be driven by political identity, and those of us who have been able to pay our own way (and those others' ways, too) will be on the bottom, sucking hind tit. If it works now, you're lucky, because if it breaks, it's never getting fixed. You will be facing US Armed forces.
The current defund/misuse police tactic is designed to drive out any LE with conscience. They will be replaced with don't give a damns, hood rats, and psychotics. This nation will physically split into Red America and Blue America. The purple states will be the combat hotspots, eventually becoming DMZ's.

You might be surprised to find out that quite a lot of folks may have actually lived in similar societies, ones usually with Communistic ideology of one way or another.
You can often survive
you can carry the light of freedom inside you
you can help others
you can live better than the rest
you can often make it through to see the end of the darkest times
you can often meet with others that share your ideas covertly.
When you are in the really bad times, being too hopeful is the enemy of survival. Being resigned to doing what you must to stay alive and do well and make it through a long bad period that you can't change will help you survive.
If for whatever reason you can't stock up on stuff, you can always learn new skills. Learn how to build a house (timber framing is pretty awesome), learn about plumbing, electrical (do you know what 3 phase power is?), learn how to trap, learn how to fix cars, tractors (can you repack a hydraulic cylinder?).
Do you know how easy it is to raise rabbits for meat?
Would a ram pump help ensure you have water in your house if the normal source failed?
Can you weld? Do you know the difference between stick, mig, tig, oxy acetylene?
Do you know how to sharpen a knife or axe?
Can you grow food in a garden?
Do you know what to do in a survival situation?
Can you identify that you're in one before its too late?
Do you have knowledge of first-aid?
Can you operate a ham-radio?
Learn how to learn, learn how to teach.

Wife likes to garden, we tried vegetables 40 years ago in the back yard.
Bugs & critters won that round.
Greenhouse might also give us some food to barter w/ if we needed to.
Would really like to learn about raising chickens, many of the neighbors do & sell the extra eggs.
However, no idea how they protect their chickens from the Coyotes.
I also hope to be able to barter services, I do welding, machine work, can fix machinery & electrical things.

I'm sorry. I'm being really negative today. My little cat, who has been my constant companion, just died in my lap today. She started convulsing about an hour ago, and finally passed about 10 minutes ago. It's a price we sign up to pay when we take a pet into our homes.
