i will atest that the timelines for everything is off. there was a rash of flu positives in our daycare in June. RSV and hand foot and mouth were there pretty prevailant to.
when the flu numbers from the CDC were released ffor 4th quarter of 2020 and it was like 250 cases in the USA..... i talked with the kids pediatrician. his thouhgts were most things were getting misdiagnosed as covid AND the aggressive hand washing campaign really did do some good against the flu. i think we just moved the curve over to where the peak hit later.
My 18 month old has had RSV, Covid, hand foot mouth, several cold-like viruses and croup. but so far in his life hes had no ear infections or any bacterial infections that need antibiotics and im not sure if its a result of the sterlizing the daycare does or if its good genes. hes got a healthy immune system, but most kids just have to cycle through all these ailments to build that immune system.
BTW, he had a day of runny nose when he got the Wuhan. the other child had nothing except a positive test.
