    With pulling the barrel, muzzle threads, the blank and the gunsmithing as well as fluting and cerakote he was in about $1100. However if you didn't paint it and skipping the fluting it would have been more like $800 with shipping.

    I think it's due to the fact that the additional stability will keep it off the edge a little longer, it's overcompensating the magnus effects. We saw the same thing with 168 SMK's by speeding up the twist rate from 11.5 down to a 9 twist and then they would go through the sound barrier.

    The performance improvement that I saw was only generated when shots went past 1s of flight time. At 1200yd I got much tighter waterlines on 6.5's and 6's especially as temps dropped and the DA's approached 0.
