    I need a hand on a 308 load

    Been using 175 SMK with H4895 exclusively for 1000 rounds. Using 42.3g with Lapua brass in a 26" 1:10 with zero stress. All 600 to 1025 yards. Testing 42.5 and 42.8g next.

    Thanks for the heads up. That's correct Bob. I was planning to spend some practice time at MTC next weekend and I usually stay in Cadillac when up there. At the very least I will drop by that match.

    4. Trying to follow some of the advice above and focus in quality over a breadth of shooting. One old Winchester shotgun. One new 9mm pistol One old rim fire looking to update. One 308 LR. Will do a build on this one over this winter.

    Right at 1200 FPS at 1000 yards with 9.4 to 9.6 Mils depending on conditions of course dialed up. So that's short of 1.2 Mach by about 100 FPS. That's a great benchmark to remember and gives me more motivation to try that extra 0.3 grains on my next load day. Was able to stay in the black...

    Help a midwest guy find a long range playground .

    MTC in Lake a City Michigan. They have 1025 yards and run a long range class there that I took. Probably about 7-8 hours. Decent variety of hotels.
