Aye, I concur, chop an inch off and rethread. Grab some conversion kits. The .223 from SAC is a hoot and great for kids and practice. Put an ARCA rail on it!

Son graduated from .223 (SAC) to 6.5 Creedmoor (Proof Research Carbon Fiber). PRDriver put this together for me a few years back, and that 7yo is getting proficient. Nightforce NX8 kept the weight down, and with the pictured setup, sling included, it’s about 11#. Viable hunting rifle, and able...

Boring PDF of ladder testing across Norma, Peterson, Hornady, and Desert Tech brass. All can be pushed to 2900+FPS with the 143gr ELDX and Staball on a Fed 215, but I can also try and replicate Hornady factory and aim for 2750 FPS. Still don't know who made brass for Desert Tech, but I'd...

Replying to my own above; Norma Averaged ~ 159gr with 52.7gr capacity Peterson averaged 169gr with 52gr capacity Desert Tech (Not tumbled yet) averaged ~173gr with 51.5gr capacity Hornady averaged ~153gr with 53gr capacity. All small sample sizes (5) which the statisticians among us know won’t...

Question that someone here may know an answer to: Desert tech headstamped brass; anyone know who makes it for them? Hornady, Peterson? Reloading a bunch of 6.5 Creedmoor while snowed in, just have Fed 215 primers and Staball and 143gr ELD-X to load. Worked up a load with CCI primers in the...

Im with ya. I have a covert A2 with an Arca rail where it needs it. Have a SRSA2 with full length Arca rail. Can put pic slots where ya need them on the A2. Find myself using dedicated thermals instead of clip on anyways. Figure I can still keep the covert pretty light without all the extra stuff.

I’m 80% sure he’s using some stack on external gun rests. Great idea!

I use the Tab Biathalon sling and another of their PRS slings. All work great.https://www.tabgear.com/products/biathlon-sling

The training continues… 77gr Hornady Black in a SAC .223, Area 419 Brake. Heck of a ruckus on such a small round, but the recoil is so tame. Coke Cans at 250yds are no match.

Post up your AirPod hearing test results.

Im using the pro Gen 1; don’t really find them enough NRR for indoor range. Suppressed is great. But I throw some cheap cans over top and love them.
