The guys that made the cartridge have a facebook page basically a 3006 case cut down to 1.7" and sized . I've done a few 400 legends but the donor action hast to be a .422 kinda limiting the amount of actions out there .
A new wildcat that should be Saami spec soon is the 41 Greatlakes . Its a 3006 case trimmed to 1.7" and necked down to 41 caliber . We mostly build 450's but this is something new we are chambering for customers
I've had to remove two stuck cases with the base broke off for the same guy . He needs to throw away some old brass but I like the easy work.
Here's my trick that works perfect every time . Push a tight patch up to the neck from the muzzle end and put the action in a vise with the muzzle...
I need to be better at taking pictures instead of video . Here’s my oldest grandson staying with us over the summer finally getting to enjoy Grandpas hobbies 😁
Take the firing pin out of the bolt and see if the bolt has movement forward and back while closed . It will be tight if the barrel shank is too far in the action or the distance between the lugs and bolt handle is off.
I've chambered a few rifles with a standard 223 reamer and seven twist barrels with great results . We shoot the 77 grain sierra bullets over varget powder and CCI #41 primers .
Get a barrel shank cut off that's the same size as your barrel shank to cut a perfect circle in some poly tape . Slide that down the barrel sticking on the recoil lug face . That's what I do for bedding but I bet it would work well for blasting and cerakote .
I've had good luck with heavy paper...
Always wanted a 300 win mag for long range target so I built this . Kelby action , KRG chassis with enclosed forearm , Triggertech trigger . The barrel is a green mountain blank I turned to 10 mtu , chambered and threaded .
