    Removing NV block on AICS

Re: Removing NV block on AICS No, you cannot just remove the block and stick the bipod or spigot into the frame. You can replace it with the shorter, old spigot block.

Monopod Versus Rear Bag Video (Accu-Shot Monopod)

Re: Monopod Versus Rear Bag Video (Accu-Shot Monopod) Thanks for the video. I also wouldn't have thought of using the monopod like that.

    Otis Technology Breech-To-Muzzle-Cleaning System

Re: Otis Technology Breech-To-Muzzle-Cleaning System I use one for my AR15s and handguns. Never had a problem, although I have to admit that I'm looking at some of the more recommended parts for a precision gun, such as a bore guide, rod and jags, etc. Just wanting to try something else I...

    AICS new version?

Re: AICS new version? Look here for examples. There are plenty of Atlas bipods mounted to the shorter block. Near the bottom of page 8, there is a wood-grain AICS with a bipod attached to the extended block. It is actually the AI bipod, but same way an Atlas would mount to it...

    AICS new version?

Re: AICS new version? The Atlas with spigot mount (like the Accu-Shot BT19) mounts exactly the same to the standard-sized and extended blocks. There is a hole in the end of the block that the spigot goes into. The extended NV block just pushes the mounting point out closer to the muzzle...

    AICS new version?

Re: AICS new version? That nub is the spigot latch. I suppose that if you never intended to use the spigot, you could remove the latch and mount a rail somehow.

    AICS new version?

Re: AICS new version? The Atlas will mount the same on either version. The newer ones have the NV spigot block, which extends out further than the older spigot block. I don't know where you can buy a new one without the NV mount.

Shooting mat critique. Updated with better photos.

Re: Shooting mat critique. It's hard to tell from the pic if one is already present, but a strap up front to snag the bipod legs on/under is helpful for loading the bipod.

Rifle Scopes ACOG Vs. Eotech... which is more reliable?

Re: ACOG Vs. Eotech... which is more reliable? Which is more reliable? My opinion, Acog. If you put both optic beside each otehr and submit them to the same conditions, I think the Acog wins every time. Now, the optics are used for different purposes, but you didn't ask about that. Also...
