    Sidearms & Scatterguns Handguns...show 'em

Full self build and Cerakote. Dropped a new barrel in it recently to test. New barrel is Killer Innovations; same as the slide. Their barrels are single-point cut rifled. Thread relief in this one put the compensator about 1/3 clock away from slide nose; it is within a few thousandths and...

self winding tactical watches.... suggestions please

Check out “Christopher Ward” watches….he has several models. Many strap options as well in his site. I bought a Carbon Fiber/Zirconium bezel Formex. Also a good, small brand, but higher than your stated budget. Super accurate (COSC certified) and super light (87 grams I believe). PS -...

    Gunsmithing Cerakote FX

You don’t have to mix it at 100% the recommended concentration. You can vary the appearance with different concentrations. I should have some examples over different base colors soon. I have sprayed test coupons in the past. PS - the pen is faded from black to Cosmic at about 50%...

    Gunsmithing Cerakote FX

These are FX cosmic (which looks blue) over graphite back. The black Manners in “kryptek” is 25% concentration FX Cosmic and sprayed on the graphite black after “tacking out” (yes, you are supposed to spray it wet in wet, but this way gives a less “blue” more ghost grey color with the shimmer).

    Gunsmithing Cerakote FX

You can use any H-series color as the base. Non-metallics will give you a better reflection of the FX effect. I use FX a good bit.

e-series cerakote on bolt made it "gummy"

WTF??? I originally responded in May of 2022. YOU quoted my post from 2022. I didn’t dig this up. And how is my response any later than your lapping compound? If you aren’t trying to be a smart-ass, you’re doing a great job without trying. FYI - almost anyone can remove 0.002” - 0.003”...

e-series cerakote on bolt made it "gummy"

I just turn the bolt body 0.002”-0.003” before Cerakote. Lugs and primary extraction cam are untouched. Usually I can tell and have a pretty good history of bolt body diameters to know what dimension(s) are required in the factory Rem 700. Picked this up in a post from LRI years ago.

    Cheek Riser for Wooden Stock

This can be done on a wooden stock….XLR cheek riser and stand-offs from Grainger supply. Threads on mine are 1/4-20, but i think he changed the thread pitch in the last couple years. Very economical and effective in my opinion if can cut and install the stand-offs yourself.

Lets see your 6 ARC build

Full build….. Compass Lake Engineering Bartlein barrel. Also, made and installed alignment/anti-rotations pins in handguard and upper receiver. Do this on all clamp style handgaurds. Nice insurance and piece of mind.
