    Match grade barrel fouling after 40rds?

    It would be interesting to see. Cost of 3 boxes of ammo to test. Its possible whoever chambered the gun used a reamer with a really loose neck or one that was out of spec. Even my suppressed rounds I've popped primers in don't show that much fouling on the necks.

    Is it me or is that an excessive amount of fouling on the necks? I'm betting it builds up at the neck and causes your pressure to increase. Does it even seem like it's harder to chamber the closer to 40rds you get?

    Only failures I've seen in AI have been from competition triggers or people running a BR cartridge without a mag kit and getting feeding issues. As mentioned both are good. If you don't like the AI chassis then no downside to a surgeon or similar premium action. I've owned and still own...

    The 3-20 is also an excellent optic. I prefer it over the 5-25. Just wish mine had a gen2xr or T3. She has the T2 in it. (it doesn't live on a 22lr...). No illumination wouldn't put me off of a 4-16, only time I've ever used it has been hunting and I didn't "need" it.

    If you have an itch to buy an AI then buy it. It won't go away. I played with a hammerhead and didn't think it offered anything over an impact, especially for the price increase. As mentioned you will get an AI and that's what you will get long term. The 700 based rifles you can do...

    @DKN83 the 3-12 is my gold standard optic. The glass is excellent and has the most forgiving parallax out of any scope I've used. Really hoping to get my hands on a 4-16 one day.

    Also have to remember what we consider effective and what the military considers effective are very different. I've had my A5 out to 1200 yards hitting targets but the mil i believe says it's effective range is 800 or 900 yards. Similarly I believe they state the 300wm is a 1300 yard gun...

    Anyone running Berger 230 Hybrids with H1000 out of a Mk248 Mod 1 chamber? What jump and charge weights have worked? Trying to get a rough idea where I may land. If another powder worked better I'm all ears but I have 250 230gr hybrids I need to use.
