    I use 24.1 N140 with the 77 SMK. I get 2640 FPS from a 18” barrel. Average .6 moa and not as compressed as the Varget load.

    BCM SS410 barrels

    I have two of their MK12 complete uppers and have been very happy with the accuracy. Just like my bolt guns I build a load for them and has been pretty easy to get them to shoot the 69 SMKs and the 77 SMKs. Both guns will consistently shoot in .6s with known accuracy loads.

    ^^^ yep I have seen people go that high but it’s definitely hot and very compressed. I went up to 24 Varget and that was compress some as well.

    I have a load that is 2654 FPS avg. with the 77SMK and N140 that groups .53 avg as well. The Varget load has the same accuracy but much slower.

    I was able to chronograph that load today. 2538 avg.

    Thanks for the informed replies. My chronograph is at another location. I know that 23.5- 24 is a common load for service rifle and wanted to get some idea what others have for speed.

    Remington brass, 7.5 BR primers. I worked up to 24 grns Varget. All groups were sub moa but the 23.5 was clearly the best grps.

    I have worked up a good load with the 77 smk and 23.5 Varget. All groups together average.51 moa. Its going to be awhile before I can get back to the range to chrono. Any guess what FPS I should be getting? AR 15 BCM SS 18” barrel 1/8 twist

    I have a good load for my 7mm08 with the 162 Amax using H4350. I still have a few hundred left but I want to start transitioning to the 162 ELD X. For those of you that may have done this was the work up comparable (same powder same OAL)?
