    Re: HS Precision Cheek Rest Modification I am like you and really didnt like most of the saddle type check rest but I wound up and got one from XLR Industries and like the crape out of it. It is made from aluminum and is adjustable and best of all looks great on my HS stock.

    Howdy all, Awhile back there was a group buy on I believe xlr cheek pieces with some better screws. Can anyone tell me where to get the cheek piece and hardware? I know the name that kept popping up was piggy and don't know if he is still around.

    Rifle Scopes aluminum versus steel rings and bases

    I am mounting a Leupold 6.5x20 mark 4 on a REM. 260 short action. I would like to know if aluminum rings and bases are better or worse than steel. I am planning on getting either 15 or 20 moa bases using this as a hunting and long range shooter. Thanks hunter966
