Anyone got a 75 degree Kelbly yet?

The stickiness can be due to the fact that an original action with it's bolt has been hand lapped to each other. That is what makes a Kelbly so slick. The new bolt will take some cycling to wear in all the contact surfaces and smooth out. If it doesn't get as slick as your original, we would be...

    75 Degree Bolts are landing

Just was reading this post and wanted to say a few things about BlackNitride. BlackNitride does not hide tool marks, if anything it highlights imperfections. You must properly finish an action before the nitriding process (we use hand sanding and media blasting to even the surface finish with...

    Kelby's Prometheus Action

I am sorry to hear that you are still having issues with your ejection. If I remember correctly the one-piece mount or the scope you have, has an excessively large protrusion over the ejection port. This is causing the case to hit the obstruction and fall back into the action at times. We...

    Kelby's Prometheus Action

The bolt is identical to an Atlas or any other Kelbly action. It has a 24# spring for ultimate accuracy and ignition.

The knob at the end is just shorter. The rod is the same length, so you can still get your fingers between the stock and the bolt handle.

We have three options for handles now. A tactical which is 2.5", a teardrop which is 2.5", and a ball which is 2". So we have you covered if you want a shorter handle! Thank you! Ian Kelbly

    Kelby's Prometheus Action

The bolt handles and bolts are exactly the same. All of our bolts are the same and are interchangeable. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for our customers. You can also use Atlas barrels on the Prometheus or Nanook. Thank you! Ian Kelbly

    Kelby's Prometheus Action

When we launched our Arcas series rifles almost ten years ago was the first time we used a Greek name. Atlas and NYX are also Greek names. Prometheus is the brother of Atlas, so it was only fitting that we used Prometheus. Nanook is the inuit god of hunters (a polar bear). He is the decider of...

The anti-shear bolt stop is made with a longer bolt stop screw hole which allows the bolt stop to slide back and impact the action body instead of the bolt stop screw. We also added material on the back side to reinforce the new impact area. In all of our testing this setup has not failed.

The Sako that we use is a lot bulkier than a standard Sako, they are designed beefier to resist fragmentation. In all of our pressure testing we have yet to have one fragment or come out of the bolt. On a typical Sako there is very little material between the body of the extractor and the...
