Just get your 700 trued and keep the factory 223 barrel on there till it's toast. Then order a prefit to replace it and decide on AI at that time. The factory Remington barrels are pretty nice on a trued action.

I just started shooting a new 6.5x47 and asked myself the same question. Mostly because I'm lazy, I decided to run it straight out of the box and not do a thing with the brass. I may be just lucky but I found a huge node with varget and got the best numbers I've ever seen on my magneetospeed...
Yeah they're hard to find in stock. Just gotta keep looking or check the reloading exchange on here. I've seen them pop up a few times.

My timney 2 stage just feels sloppy. I don't notice a defined creep but there is side to side slop in the whole movement cycle of the trigger. Less than pleased. Mine isn't the Calvin elite if that means anything..

Tikkas rarely take much in the way of "truing". I would get a doner tikka and screw a heavy barrel in 7-08 onto it. Get yourself an x-ray and you'll be good to go! Don't let the "limitations" of your favorite caliber come between you and your rifle of choice. There are plenty of people taking...
