    Its going on a trued remington 700 action with ptg bolt. This is going to be a hunting gun for me. Once machined ill set headspacing and assemble on a choate stock I have sitting around.

    I live in Gestapo CT and I'm having a hard time finding a gunsmith to chamber and thread a barrel to 264 win mag here. I'll ship it out if I have to find someone who has the reamers and is willing to do the job. Everybody I talk to here seems scared to do this for me. I don't understand.

    Ok so I have dropped off all my components for my build to my gunsmith except for the stock. I shoot left handed and was going to go with a Choate custom tactical for my Remington 700. So this where my problem begins, they are not making that stock at the moment and have no answer as to when...

    I'm almost finished purchasing pieces for my 300RUM build, and now need a gunsmith to start the machining portion of this build. Is there anybody that can recommend a good smith within a 200 mile radius of central CT. Thanks.
