McQueen Sniper Cup-Imperial Meeting Bisley 2014

At the last count we've got something like 33 bars within 200meters of the 600yard range! (And thats before you've left the Camp!)

McQueen Sniper Cup-Imperial Meeting Bisley 2014

There's a lot of variety - though the formal versions are covered here: http://www.nra.org.uk/common/files/FactSheets/McQueen.pdf There's also versions shot around barricades and at much longer distances (All easy to replicate if you're in the States - though you do need someone in the range...

McQueen Sniper Cup-Imperial Meeting Bisley 2014

The target in common use is the Figure 14. This measures 11 inches high by 7 inches wide and is often referred to as a Huns Head - in reference the original purpose of the competition, which was to train WW1 Snipers to kill Germans The castle windows are only just wider than the target...

Accuracy International AW and AE differences?

Couldn't agree more. I traded the AW cost against an improved scope and a set of rings on the AE I know the AW would have been worth the price but realised that it would be lost on me. If your budget will only just stretch to an AW, I say take the AE

    Interesting Tripod

Agreed. The general purpose machine gun video looked a little contrived too. Unless the legs can be extended you're going to be stuck with few options regarding position of aim / seating position etc That said, a bespoke system could probably be very useful if 'cut to length' of the...

    Catastrophic Failure

My first thought - or worse a restricted headspace (?) Glad to hear that you're okay. Your unfortunate experience is duely shared & noted with thanks

how many mils in a mil dot?

+1 from me. I used hold-over and kentucky windage more often than I ever expected too, especially when faced with an unfamiliar rig or my own lack of trigger time However hitting a centre of mass does not equate to tactical paper punching - so it might not be accurate enough for some of the...

Australians take longest shot @ 3078 yards

Agreed. The Media Ops teams want good news stories.... And it doesn't take much to create them.

Australians take longest shot @ 3078 yards

Kudos to you Kraig. That was a brutal & infamous conflict by anybodies standard. I personally feel it's only been in the past 5years (to a decade) where troops have to face 24/7 instant media reporting. I saw myself on TV in Iraq, only hours after the action had taken place. However with...
