    L96 Rear Sight Valuation

Try Fulton's for parts/service. They bought the last of the spares after the fleet of L96A1s was torched and dumped into the North Sea. https://www.fultonsofbisley.com/

    L96 Rear Sight Valuation

As British Armourer Peter Laidler would say: "it is made of unobtanium. or rocking horse poo..." Just love the British humour!

It's been fun, but it's time for me to move on

Ryan: Your contributions will be missed! You are part of the Hide's "invisible college" that adds so much to this brotherhood. I hope that you get better so that you can enjoy your life more, as well as check off your "bucket list." v/r longebow

    Source for steel E-type targets?

Thank you Dave! Ouch! Never thought that as fellow "boomers" we would be so quickly labeled/identified by our preference for "vintage" optics and TTPs... I still don't trust my life to battery powered devices, they always seem to go down at the worst possible times... ;) Chris

    Source for steel E-type targets?

The reason for 1 meter high and 19 inches wide: The standard E-type target was designed to approximate the "average" male from crotch to the top of the head, and the width of the "average" male at the shoulders. The mil relation formula is based on targets that are 1 meter in height. The USMC...

John Thune Elected Senate Majority Leader

Spent some time with Matt Gaetz at a Veteran's Day lunch in 2022 here in the panhandle. His private and public words at that lunch (yes, to veterans and their spouses) were highly encouraging to me. During our private conversation, he listened intently, and "heard" me. My gut is that he knows...

    Source for steel E-type targets?

Hide Members: I am assisting a friend put together a 900 yard rifle range and he wants steel E-type targets ( 1 meter high x 19-20 inches) that will withstand up to .338 LM. Looking for recommendations on quality targets that are built to last. Due to their weight, expect these to be on a...

    L42A1 & Enforcer reloading

Optimum Charge Weight Using my Redding RB-3, I would drop powder in small incremental increases, measuring velocity and point of impact. When bullets "clustered" despite small increases in powder, then the middle of that charge weight was the "sweet spot" or OCW.

    Georgia M1A builder help?

My mistake earlier, I meant to say in the GAS CYLINDER PLUG itself (on the front face--facing toward the muzzle). From what I can see of the bedding, it looks like Hook's work--but pics without the barreled action and trigger group in place would be helpful.

    Georgia M1A builder help?

Gerald J. "Hook" Boutin (12 May 2026 - 24 May 2015) never "marked" his builds. I threatened over the years to get him a "punch" of a "hook" but he declined my offer... He had a unique way of bedding the action and trigger group. If you post pictures of the bedding material on both sides of...
