    Yes, got a little time on the long field myself, the custom curve doesn´t lie and real world data therefore corresponds to G1=.510 or G7=.254. Sierra is pretty optimistic in published numbers.

    Definitely touching the rifling. Use sharpie on the bullet to see the contact better. I´d just modify a case, measure your rifle´s true COL to the ogive and start with the new reloads from there.     Sentry Solutions; grease on the lugs and cam, their treated "rag" on everything else. Shooting mostly in dry & dusty conditions, works great.

    Frank: it´s just 5.5 each way. With my 308 load at our 1000m (not yards) shoot I´m at approximately 1MIL for each 1m/s of wind. Dialing some and holding a little over it is always more comfortable than holding all the wayy to the image´s edge on a 30-round string. Call it user comfort :)
