Feedback Request - Proposed Order of Operations

combine step 4 - 5 - 6 in one step. no benefit from expanding necks in seperate step with manderel, when you use ordinary FL die, and drop Staball powder. dont use bench rest brass prepp, if you plink with 1MOA+ 1000$ rifle...

Feedback Request - Proposed Order of Operations

you are missing the point entirely ! OFF COURSE YOU GOTTA HAVE LOW ES/ES !! but you didntlisten to whole thing and you missed the context: those mens HAVE LOW ES/SD. they dont have 50 ES ! big difference! listen to alex wheller podcast and listen what is he talking about 1000y BR: a lot of...

Which Charge Weight would you pick based on these results?

nowadays equipement and reloading stuff is so good that you just cant get ''bad'' load. so you are not lucky, just the fact of good components. but maybe your groups can shrink a little, but in my opinion with different jump testing, not with different powder charge.

Priming rifle cases…..how do you gauge when a primer pocket is getting too large?

it's hard to check primer pocket with gage when not all primers are the same size. some primers are ''bigger'', some are ''smaller''. if primer pocket expands, you can try ''bigger'' primer for more reloadings from this brass. sometimes sellier & bellot SR primers were harder to prime, so they...

Which Charge Weight would you pick based on these results?

your groups are all the same, and there are no nodes. just pick a charge of velocity you like and go shoot. and if I were you, i would pick at least 0.040'' jump. and I would try 0.080'' if group* will shrink. *a group of at LEAST 20 shots !!!

    To Arbor Press or not?

people here are trying to convince you that with their arbor press they are producing more accurate ammo, but in reality you get the answers from folk who are having 1+ MOA rifles for plinking and hunting, and not from folk with 0.3 MOA rifles for BR winning... in reality people are winning...

Match vs magnum primers for bench rest

what I’m unsure of is if bench rest / match primers are also hotter than a standard primer for a given caliber - it dependes. CCI BR4 are mostly hotter than 450M. other brands may be different. and remember for all times: not all magnum primers are hotter than standard ones, and magnum...

I’m confused about using an expander ball when using neck bushings.

if you use neck bushing, you can use expander ball or mandrell only for just slightly kissing the necks to be 'more' round than just from your bushing; if you think that your neck is not very consistent in thickness. because people think that they put inside inconsistency to the outside, if your...

    Seating depth test

diggler 1833: thank you for clarifying the total range of jump. I only find Keith's statement: ''Load #1 was .009" from load #2 and .015" from load #3.'', so I thought that maximum total difference jump can be 0.024'', but in reality is probably 0.015''. yes, this it the first parameter. we...

    Seating depth test

I would do it in jump variations: 0.010'', 0.040'', 0.080''. 20 shots each, on 1000y, on Shotmarker in order: 1.=0.010'', 2.=0.040'', 3.=0.080'', 4.=0.010'', 5.=0.040'', 6.=0.080'', ... I think that way everybody will see what they want and must see... Keith has done this in 3 different jumps...

Lapping Scope rings - I see mostly No but some Yes

nobody laps the rings the right way. so that the surfaces will be parallel with each other: bottom and top. everybody laps surfaces in the way that they become oval / round. this is because you have ring screws which must be loosen to be even able to move lapping tool. this is even worse in...

Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

you will always have ''flayers'' because you have too high expectation for accuracy of your tikka. you think because you shot the same bullet through the same hole, that you will have this accuracy for all 3, 5, 10 or 20 shots... and now you expect that your gun is 0.2moa rifle... for infinite...
