Any thoughts on 6BR or 6GT?

I considered a BRA but my gunsmith talked me out of it. There was nothing wrong with it he just hadn't found it to really do anything that the straight BR wouldn't do already unless you are only after speed, which I wasn't, but some folks feel differently.

Any thoughts on 6BR or 6GT?

I ran a 6GT for 4 years using 109's at 2830 and Varget/n150 around 32.5 grains in 26" barrels and just switched to 6BR this year... crazy thing was at 30 grains of Varget or N150 I was at 2830ish in this 6br 28" barrel. I've since dropped it back to 29 grains for 2740. Biggest difference...

    6mm BR

Welp, think I'm going to run 29.0 grains of varget and 109 Hybrids jumping about .055" in this barrel. Groups well, velocity numbers are great and I can feel less recoil here than with 30 grains plus i feel it'll be more consistent throughout all the environments I find myself in at PRS matches.

Secret Service Eyes New 6.5mm Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle (RFI)

While not an auto loader this would get you somewhat in the ball park, his 22" 142 records match what I was getting from my 22" JP build with 140 hybrids with Berger factory ammo. https://rifleshooter.com/2016/02/6-5-creedmoor-effect-of-barrel-length-on-velocity-cutting-up-a-creedmoor/

    choosing a prs bullet

if you have a good load for another bullet weight relatively close to these (103-110 grains) start with that power charge and do a seating depth test. I generally begin at -.035 and test every .015 deeper to .100 and see if there is a spot where the group center doesn't shift and the overall...

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Moved back to Varget for now, 26" Benchmark Varget 27.8 105HY seating test from about .060 jump to .030" 2712 8.8sd/32es across all but my CCB. I am going to try and run this at a local match in the coming weeks provided I get enough time to verify my drop data with it before hand... and the...

    6mm BR

30 grains of N150 and berger bullets must be a prophecy or something... 😎 108 Elite Hunter's jumped .060 from a 28" Benchmark.

    6gt

The chamber shouldn't move or erode unless you remove the barrel and its headspaced by a Nut (think savage arms) rather than a squared shoulder.

    6gt

The lube you use, the amount and consistency of application play a large role in this in my experience. **After re-reading your post** If you are shooting new brass and at different charge weights you will see differences in the shoulder as pressure increases. In that case I would take...

So a private for profit corporation writes policy for most police departments

They don't write our policy nor am I aware of any department in southwest Michigan that doesn't write their own.
