I use .308 as "zero." It's ubiquitous and a work horse and will remain so for our lifetimes.
I use 6.5 Creedmoor and .338 LM offsets as special purpose adjuncts.
6.5 Grendel is already a significant part of our family "ammo fort." Do you see an advantage for the 6mm ARC that makes it worth stockpiling yet another cartridge?
When Ted introduced his Mausingfield, he described the engineering of its safety features. Through the succession of actions from Mausingfield to CDG, I have heard or read no further mention of the various actions' safety features. Does anyone know if these new actions have the same "Ka—BOOM"...
You are welcome to "break" your muzzle.
Meanwhile I am happy to be "that guy" who speaks Modern English and uses punctuation, capitalization, and grammar as if there is hope for Western Syphilization. Perhaps I am too optimistic.
Remember—there are two types of stupidity:
(1) "cain't hep it"...
Not even the most retarded gunnie calls the muzzle device a "gas break." Even in the photo you supplied, the muzzle is intact, not "broken."
The muzzle device brakes the recoil, hence it is a "muzzle brake."
Just scanning recent posts, it seems there are complaints about vertical stringing in the HTI. Are the cause and solution known? Problem addressed by DT in new production HTI rifles? Other known SRSA2 and HTI problems with current production guns?
I've been away from the DTA SRS world for a few years, so when I came back online here I was somewhat surprised that there still seems to be significant disatisfaction with Desert Tech's products and service. During the "birthing pain" years, there were expected delays, but I am rather surprised...
We have some family birthdays ahead, so I am thinking about gifting a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Grendel: https://ruger.com/products/americanRiflePredator/specSheets/26922.html
Since I hate the stock and plastic trigger guard and Ruger trigger, it was natural that I consider a Magpul stock...
Yes, but, even with Noveske's assistance, getting Noveske parts is no mean feat. I finally decided to buy a Faxon Gunner profile in .223 Wylde. Now I am looking for a Gen 3 9.15" handguard and the project will be finito.
