    I carry a Shaerk Little Mook. It's about perfect for my needs. I like that it fits in my pocket and is easier to draw and use than a regular pocket knife and it's oh so sharp!

    Question about long range bolt gun

    Just a quick question for all of the guru's on here. Why is the .30-06 not used for long range shooting. I know Carlos Hathcock used it in his service as a sniper and I was just wondering why it sort of fell by the way side? Thanks for any insight you can give. Travis

    Mossberg MVP

    I have one and I love it. It loves the hornady 55 grn bullets. I shot it last weekend out to 500 yards and I had three shots within four inches. I wasn't complaining since it was my first time shooting that far. Very nice rifles and I like the ar mags, it makes for easy unloading after hunting.

    I have a swedish m96 mauser in 6.5x55. It has a 24" barrel and I was thinking of cutting it down to about 17 ". Would there be any performance lost if I do this? Would I still be able to shoot out to 500 yds? Thanks guys for any input you can give me. Travis
