87 grain VMAX ideal velocity .243

bang poof lol. I was working the 75 max up in a 26" 6 creed 1-7.5 and was losing 1/3 of the bullets on the way to the 100 targets. 3150 with the 6mm br they where just fine and worked good on coyotes.

87 grain VMAX ideal velocity .243

I've ran the 87 max in couple 6 creeds but usually with shorter barrels so 3300 fps to 3150 fps with 1-7.5 twist barrels. Works great on coyotes from 50-300 yards. I have shot the 75v max out of 6mm br are they are great too but I did have bullet failure with those out of 6mm creeds 1-7.5 at...

    Continuous scope ring slippage

I have had rings slip before it can be caused by many factors but the easy way to fix it is to bed the rings I included an article from Jim See https://www.longrangehunting.com/articles/precision-scope-mounting-for-the-working-rifle.1227/

    Kelby's Prometheus Action

Two piece base high rings nf nxs 3.5-15 x50 It s not the scope. The problem as I talked to the guy in your office is the rounds in the mag are negatively impacting ejection. On the bench you can get the gun to run ok. Best I have seen is like kicking brass 12-18" out of the rifle for sure not...

    Kelby's Prometheus Action

I have 2 nanook (lighter versions ) actions one short action std bolt in 260 and another long action mag in 7mm prc. The short action runs ok ,the ejection is pretty goofy but usually ejects fine. The long action is another story it usually drops the spent case back in the action most of the...

NXS 2.5-10 on a long action?

So I was going to put one of the 2.5-10 x42 NF on my kelby nanook long action and it would not work with regular rings. https://spuhrwebshop.com/en/hunting/hpc30-25a.html spuhr makes these and I may end up using them. I don't think I would ever do an interrupted rail on a long action ever again...
