Hey Shane , when do you update the list? No worries but was curious.

    Where's the node ?

In my experience if you get poi change especially if the slower groups are trending down that is never good. What that means is if you have a slow shot it will be aimed lower and you will be fighting vertical unless you have perfectly level velocities. What I want to see is all groups hitting...

    Where's the node ?

Do it every day and the nodes are there , they do not disappear . No one only counts 3 shot groups or only fires one or two groups . 5x5 has worked well and all of the shooters already do this .but you say they don’t. But you are preaching 20 -30 shot groups and now you change you posture . I...

    Where's the node ?

Good points , some of these posters feel the need to insult and stupify any posters that try to help without even shooting the discipline and while demanding date have yet to post any data themselves. None of them have even posted a singe shred of data . Then there are the statistical guys...

    Where's the node ?

D if I can not believe you are spewing the same garbage you were a while back , you make ammo and your supposed to be the be all on internal ballistics .Most of you guns don’t change tune guys really have never shot the discipline that you have all your BS about . Your just a bunch of kids who...

    Measuring BC - Oehler '89

Absolutely , the 89 is really showing some great data , and I believe time of flight is the most accurate method to measure BC verses velocity drop over long range. Also if you get a weird shot due to a bad bullet the Oehler 89 can catch it ,Bc variance is contributing factor as well and the 89...

    Measuring BC - Oehler '89

Thank you ,yes it worked out good , I had forgot the updated manual had came with the software but I practiced it on the demo mode and I have it figured out and am anxious to try it as well as checking the margin of error on the Garmin if these storms will just let up for a bit.

    Measuring BC - Oehler '89

So Buford ,just to make sure I am doing this correctly ,do we plug the trigger mic in to port 2 or the same port that the proof sky screen would normally plug in to? And what would be the best trigger mic orientation?

Transonic Cone Theory of Bullet Motion

Going back to the first page I think as many have stated it looked worse than it really was , but what really threw me was that one minute there was a smooth laminar flow field and then there was not. I would like to know why if it was wind or the bullets which were fully qualified yet were...

Transonic Cone Theory of Bullet Motion

I agree , I don’t think anyone including me would just use one or two groups as any proof of anything especially trying to determine dispersion. Why people keep saying that shooters just use one or two groups is beyond me . No one does that. There are many groups over many days over many...

Transonic Cone Theory of Bullet Motion

Yaw cards have worked extremely well but I can not help but wander is there is a deflection possibility. Years later I used velocity drop from muzzle to target and using groups at the same time to confirm suspected random dispersion . When the muzzle dispersion is highest so is the velocity...

Transonic Cone Theory of Bullet Motion

The experiments I have done lately has been with known good quality bullets which does not mean much but by reducing any dispersion close to the muzzle definitely reduced it down range but as Jim Boatright mentioned it was much smaller than originally thought, in the case of a 190 SMK 30 cal has...
