I thought this might be fun to see. I’ll start it off.

When I started loading, I would have died to see powder selling for $15.00 a pound. $4.00 a pound for powder a buck for a hundred primers and two to three for a hundred bullets. Loaded rifle ammo ran 4.00 for the good stuff and .22’s were S0.50 a box.

But, I brought home $75.00 per week. (Or after becoming one of Uncle Sam’s finest, about $200 per month before I shipped out to Vietnam.) Then with combat pay, I got the princely sum of $325.00 per month and sent most of it home. Got all the ammo I ever dreamed of wanting for free on LZ Chippewa.

The order confirmations below also don't include the ActiveJunky rebate which got me back like an additional 8% off. Also paid with a cash back credit card. First time I've made such a large order for components and lead me to believe that I was a little too reckless with the spending and that due to the availability, there would never be a problem with buying small amounts of powder, primer or bullets every few weeks. How wrong I was...

Posted this one before, still have it, just haven't shot much pistol, or use other powders. Circa 1970s, maybe early 80's @$9/lb.
Tripling in 40 years isn't nearly as bad as doubling in 2!
