Rifle Scopes Brand New straight out of box Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 1 and Gen 2 factory defectiveNO warranty NO replacement by Athlon Optics WARNING BUYER BEWARE!!!

Wtf is happening in here.

And who the hell buys 10k worth of “cheap” scopes.

Only reason I have one is my .22 needed an optic upgrade and I got a Cronus for like $900 lol.
You're right. I should have just bought few more Vortex Razor Gen 3 and Element Theos scopes instead.

I tried to order a lot of Meopta Optika 6 scopes through EuroOptic but the sales guy never got back to me about bulk purchase and had no idea they were going to drop down to $500 on Black Friday.

Why would Vortex be affected by people like me? Sounds racist. They never ever even once screwed me over and went well above and beyond as they always do. If anything I'd be singing praises for Vortex when it comes to taking care of their customers.
Racist … come on … we don’t even know your race … and you are pulling the racist card …

I'm calling bullshit too in the sense there's more to this story. This is literally the FIRST time I've ever read about a problem with Athlon warranty. Likewise with the Cronus reticle illumination (although I can't say I've been looking for that info). I haven't been here long, but long enough to know this guy is an asshole and deserves it.

After pulling the race card unprovoked, I have an idea. Typically only one group is so quick to randomly pull the race card over any type of criticism. Just like how you say anything critical about someone who happens to be from the small-hat tribe, they automatically accuse you of being antisemitic… it’s nauseating and insufferable. 🙄🙄🙄

This is all just some kid practicing for their 10th grade English paper (I see a C- in your future Scopeye). It is great popcorn material though:ROFLMAO:, come on 20 cheap, junk scopes at one time and "I am not flipping them", such an obvious fake.
Yeah, but he paid 10,000 Flips for those… 😂

Personally, I could think of much better ways to waste $10,000 than buying 20 shitty Chicom scopes.

Nobody buys that many scopes at once, unless they’re either a dealer, or planning on flipping them for a good profit.

How's them Zeiss S3 looking now? LOL
Scopeye: Bitches about how terrible Zeiss’ CS and warranty supposedly are, while hardcore pimping and praising Asslon for how awesome they are. Recommends people buy products they don’t want, open packaging, then return to the seller who now has to sell it to someone else at a profit loss, but it’s not his problem… 🤷🏼

Also Scopeye: Buys $10K worth of Asslon scopes, then gets fucked by their CS and warranty department.

You can’t write better comedy. 🤣😂🤣

Lots of companies source scopes/components/glass from LOW. "Built in the same factory" doesn't mean built to the same spec or supported the same way. Having the same thread pitch for a sunshade doesn't mean that it's the same scope either.

I am just surprised they have an actual "spec"
Thats why I'm curious.

Consider the real-world application of illuminated reticles. You either are using it in low light situations against a dark background, or with clip on night vision devices or shooting lights. Most illum reticles I've seen are way over-bright for those uses. An LPVO would be a different story, but for a 4-30x scope, really any illumination is usually sufficient. That might be their thought process on that, but its why I would be interested to see how much variation in illum he has, as I've never observed a partially illuminated reticle before.

Replace Athlon with Arken and I would think this was Fuhq
Fuck off... I only ever bought 5 Arken scopes total... And had to send back 2 of them...

I will give Arken this... At least they honored their written warranty without batting an eye, and paid for shipping both ways. They didn't fuck me over like Asslon did this dude... 🤷🏼

Only Bushnell I have only ever owned was on a contender 30-30 pistol back in the late 70s.
Don't worry, you've missed absolutely nothing since... 👍🏼

Hell, even the relatively inexpensive Bausch & Lomb scopes built in Japan were solid scopes until Bushnell bought them, tarded everything up, and stuck their name on it. Then nobody wanted them anymore. 😂

Christ even your titles are a fuckin novel. Have you ever typed something and considered not writing a hard back book worth of shit that no one gives a fuck about? Cause no one gives a fuck about the constant dumb shit you spew.

When vortex’s warranty and customer service decline it’ll be due to people like you.
If you're one of the "don't give a fuck" guys (and you are) why do you bother to respond. You're just displaying your ignorance.

Why do you all (those that pan) insist on whipping a dead horse. I do occasionally resort to negative comments, but only after I've been attacked by the Moronic slime that have nothing better to do than try and belittle others. What a shame. If you think I was talking about anyone personally, then you probably are guilty.

Sorry I see this is a little older post but,Athlon has the best customer service I've ever dealt with,One of my rifles got knocked out the rack at my gun club, fell onto the scope and damaged it,Athlon was told what happened sent scope in for repair they sent me a brand new scope,With a different scope I lost one of the tiny screws to the zero stop emailed them they sent 3 new screws,And now with a new scope I bought i removed the zero stop ring at the range and somehow missed placed it,once again just a quick email to them and within a week they sent a new ring,They never questioned anything just took care of all my problems,Now I have a Arken EP-5 that has a issue can't even get anyone there to answer the phone or return a email,Also Nightforce has also handled my one problem I had quickly
