The new MDT Hunting bottom metal is pretty sweet for long action setups!

Wait - KRG is making lefty C4s?!?
Doesn't look like it but it isnt hard to convert. To convert my Tikka whiskey 3 it was only the bolt cut.

To convert my Mdt Xrs for my Tikka t1x it was bolt cut and safety clearance. Did it with a Foredom rotary tool. Just mirror what is already there. Fingernail polish painted the exposed aluminum.

Can also be done with a round file.

I have a lefty conversion Bravo too. Just hate bothering my buddy to put them on his mill lol.

What powder are you running to get 2900?
RL26 in Peterson Brass with 210M primers. Running it long too. COAL is not SAMMI length. I had my gunsmith cut the chamber long specifically for longer, higher BC bullets. He did a hell of a job on it. I picked up about 80fps on that load after 200 or so rounds. That 2900fps load is a peach. I also worked up a load with 155 Absolute Hammers at 3100fps. Those things do a number on whitetails.

What is the length of barrel? And what load do you use?
26” Bartlein 6.5x47. Plan to use 42.0-42.5 of H4350 with 123 ELDM’s and 40-ish of H4350 with the 140’s. Also have some Shooters World Long Rifle to experiment with since I had good results with the Precision Rifle when Varget was tough to find.

Edit: 42-42.5 for 123’s

Usually hang out in the AI pic thread, but here's one of my Zermatt Origin builds, as pictured it's running a 20" 1:9 Hawk Hill .308 barrel, but it also runs 6.5CM and 6.5PRC barrels (gotta love the swappable bolt heads on the Origin). It's sitting in a KRG Whiskey 3 folder with the comp forend and arca spigot with a gen 3 Razor HD for glass.

Got my rifle all together now. My switch barrel setup, that's the 338 edge barrel at the moment. I'll be driving south for the 2024 Night Force ELR Steel Challenge in Wyoming. Going to be a great time.

How do you like that KS arms action? Is that the 3 lug? I'm considering doing a build with one
It's a great action, the 3 Lug is so smooth, it locks up tight with no effort. When I switched barrels from 300 PRC to the 338 edge, zero poi shift left or right. Just higher do to increased velocities. I also have a Valkyrie built by KS Arms and its a tac driver, even with factory Hornady. It's an action really worth considering, or a barreled action, KS Arms makes their barrels in house.

Most recent build. This will serve as a backup rifle for PRS competitions.

Doesn’t just look pretty!
5 shots cold bore today.
Group to the left was the week prior. It was when I swapped to the Foundation and move this Leupold over from another rifle.

I looked into building a 6.5prc on a Greyboe stock, KS Arms action, and a Kreiger barrel. But when I saw this factory Bregara Premier Pro, I had to jump at it. You just can’t build one for the Bergara’s money. Yeah, yeah…I know the obvious. But when the time comes, I‘ll re-barrel with a straight pipe.

I happen to love the stock (I have an HMR). The ergonomics fit me like a glove. And the Premier action looks to be a step above the HMR’s. Now just waiting on the glass (next week). I’m looking forward to load development with the Berger 140gr Hybrid Targets.

EDIT: I got my scope mind mounted it. Now it’s ready to fire.

I had a pro. It averaged 5 shot groups around 0.6 moa. It wasn't picky at all with load development and shot tight groups with multiple different bullets. Super consistent. My current tikka CTR doesn't touch it, although I had a tikka T3 that matched it, so nothing against tikka. My first custom, a krieger barrel on an origin action is just as accurate but I haven't consistently beat it yet. The pro's replacement, a ks arms barreled action, is still awaiting delivery, so I can't speak on that yet. But my hmr pro was an amazing rifle and a great value. If it came in left hand I'd have never sold it.
