Bump stocks legal

They should have never been outlawed. I love Trump, but he was a pushover on that deal. He caved to the women and the wimps and banned them. I will personally never buy one cause I don’t see any advantage to owning one, but I 100% say that anyone that wants one should be able to buy one. The problem I have is the slippery slope that it pushes us onto. If that ban stands then what’s next? Weaponlights? Bipods? Suppressors? 30 round mags?

The way I look at it, "he had to do something!!" this was an easy target that didn't actually effect anything firearms related, and was no able to set a precedent in our favour. 4D chess.

I agree he had to do something. I’m just saying that sometimes the something that needs done is to just say “this isn’t the problem or cause of the problem.” Maybe it was 4D chess, but it was still the wrong way to handle it imo.

So you are OK with unconstitutional action by a president because of public pressure?

Dangerous position to hold there big sarge.

I would use the term, “okay with it”, but I think this was the most benign approach he could take to get the frothing mouths out of his hair.

Wonder how many are going swimming at their local lakes today?

Maybe the leftists will help vote president Trump back in office. Lol

I expect biden will be medicated, strapped to a podium and have the puppeteers hand up his ass and be told what to say this evening.

I believe DJT had an oh shit moment and squelched it as best he could to shut them up. I believe he followed NRA advice not that I like any infringement.

I also believe he expected the court to fix his "mistake ".

Maybe I read too much into it?

Iether way I will take this SCOTUS decision as a small win, and hopefully it's used to set president in the future.

I remember when I first saw one on the range. The guy demoed it out and it was fun.

Picked up 3 with the little letter from BATF saying they were ok.

The three of us grabbed a 1000 round can and went to the range.

Wasn't long before the can ran dry.
Too hungry and loss of accuracy they all got traded off .

In the article, they mention that Paddock, whom they do not name, fired 1,000 rounds in 11 minutes. I call bullshit on a 60 something year old man getting that many off.

Never mind having 34 mags of 30 rds each ready. The barrel is going to get hot. And let us not forget a man breaking a window designed to withstand impacts from flying debris in high winds.

Anyway, this is one of the biggest gripes I had about Trump. That and his caving to red flag laws and saying that we should seize first and worry about due process later.

I hope that he does not make that same mistake, again.

2A, all the way. Or, go home.

I don't disagree with you about Trump but lets not forget the Fudds at the NRA who gave him the greenlight on that. Not to mention that they wanted to add bump stocks to the list of NFA items before that.

Watch the leftists use this as a talking point, however illogical this might sound. They will say that if Trump is elected, he will appoint justices to the SCOTUS that will overturn the NFA. Then there will be more bloodshed on the streets.

They will say that the carnage in Las Vegas would have been worse if Paddock would have had FA weapons with suppressors.

The Hidlebeast said almost as much before the blood was dry. The HPA was making its way through congress and might have passed. Then right after the shooting, she started screaming about what might have happened if the shooter would have had silencers.

Now, I know some of you are already saying but this started with Trump issuing the EO. That's true but what I am talking about is the democrats ability to twist logic around.

They are going to focus on the SCOTUS and create a fear among other leftists and the fence-sitters. They will paint a picture of the NFA dying at the hands of Trump appointed justices.

They will paint a picture of taliban like gangs roaming the streets with Browning M2s on pedestals in the back of Toyota pickup trucks. They will paint a picture of people concealing FA SBRs hidden in mass shooter's trouser legs ready to mow down babies in day care centers. Never mind the fact that they want to kill babies in the womb and at the time of birth.

They will focus on the "danger" a Trump appointed SCOTUS will pose for the country. They will ignore the fact that the bump stock hysteria started with him in the first place.

@Longshot231 I can’t emphasize that last comment enough! I believe you are spot on!

The leftists won't go anywhere without help from the republicans. That's what bothers me. McCain, Romney, Ryan and other RINOs have given birth to so many other little RINOs that the republicans might fear the negative coverage the press will give them going into the campaign season.
