1/2 inch at 100 all day long?

Like a bad penny that keeps turning up, right, ? Or montezumas revenge every time u eat mex ? Just kidding GF, just Kidding...
Glad the issue,... with you know who, over that uniform long ago happened,... and he chose you to test his line of scopes on the CoC day. A day I thought/knew I would wind up in Jail, turned into the best chance meeting I've ever had. Been awhile Bill & I have enjoyed it all.

Half inch spread all day long, right?

Anyone want to make another attempt for the 50 at 100 yards? :sneaky:

No? I can't even get any of the locals to try it anymore. :cautious:

The results are all 1.25 inches or more.
That outdoors in a tailwind with turbulence does a number on the 22lr.
So what is the challenge?

1/2" at 100 yards with a .22? 5 shot group or more?

I don't think I can do it, even with the 52 in favorable conditions. BUT... if that is the challenge, I'll give it a shot. So to speak.

Probably fail. Almost certainly will fail. But I'll try it!

Hey Sirhr, it's more of an educational exercise.
All 50 shots at a single point of aim, any setup that makes you happy.
Indoors or outdoors, offhand or fixtured rig with any rimfire at 100 yards.
22lr, 22wmr, 17hm2, hmr or wsm.

The education is what happens when the entire box, all 50 shots count. ;)

Folks, this is as good as I get. 116 yards, (furthest range we have available where we shoot close to our home) three shots, checking sight settings off a bench using a bipod and a bag. It’s not 1/2 MOA, maybe not even 1MOA, but surely it’s 1 Minute Of MiniGong. In Precision Rifle, that’s what really counts

Shooting off a bag on a very shaky skill stage barricade, group sizes not so much, but still shot 81% for the day. Most shots were 100 yards or more. Targets were no larger than the mini gong.

Im happy to get MOA@100 10 shot groups. I reprofiled some SK Standard plus last week with a Waltz die to Eley flatnose button and was impressed with the groups @ 50 and 100. I pressed from the stock .980 OAL to .960 and an ogive of .2255 from .224 and the main thing I noticed was less fliers and a little tighter group. My LabRadar recorded reduced SD's and ES's also, with a 1 fps increase in MVA. I didnt record readings at 100 just 50. Monday I am testing some TAC 22 that is pressed to the same ogive but I had to go to .950 OAL to get it. I thought I took pics of the 100yd targets but in the sun I was in slo mo and didnt realize it so they didnt come out. I attached the 50yd pic. Shot with a 457 pro.

Are you sure that wasn't pics of 100? That looks like MOA @ 100, and 2moa @ 50 if that's a 50yd picture. I assume those squares are 1 inch.

It might be.....I had a real bad day with pictures that day. My phone was reflecting and I pushed wrong buttons. It rained and the lense got steamed. Anyway the gun shot good that day. I was shooting off a bipod and no bag.
