Anyone running one of these yet? Do you get the same accuracy with the lightweight barrel as you do with the standard weight barrel?

It seems to be a considerable weight savings and considering where it necks down i would imagine if better balances the rifle.

Wow, I'm surprised this got zero responses. I'm researching the lightweight barrels right now. My BCM ELW 5.56 barrel is solid. The lightweight LMT 7.62 shaves 11+ oz off the weight.

They are just like any other barrel, The heavier better will be more consistent with a heavier firing schedule. Thats not to say a lighter barrel cant work in certain applications.

This guy is shooting the LW 13.5 with and getting hits on target

I wouldn’t worry about performance of the light weight barrel.

I’ve only put 40 rounds through my SS LW 16” 308 but so far I think it’s a winner. Here’s the first group I shot after zeroing.

What kind of shift POI are you guys getting with the LW barrel suppressed? I’m using an SAS TI Arbiter (Area419 mount) and it’s POI shift is 1 mil low and right.

Same suppressor shifts only shifts POI 0.3mil low and 0.1mil left on my TRG 22 and no shift on my FN SPR. I understand these two bolt actions have much heavier profiles than the MWS.

I wasn’t expecting to see a big shift, but it’s been consistent the last two trips to the range.
