VOO has an expense ratio of 0.03%, so . . . that is almost negligible. Not a lot of fees taken off the top. As for taxes, well, that is the government, not Vanguard, and you have to pay taxes when you have income, so . . . better to have income and pay taxes than not.

Hey I've seen something like that before. They were used in NOV "hex pumps", the mud pumps we used on the last drillship I was on. The bearings were fine, but the mud pump design was a disaster IMO. We were constantly working on them. I always wanted to bring one of those bearings home and build my own lead sled rifle rest out of it but that never happened....
