Still can carry in VT, open or concealed. Without permission slip, I believe. So there's that...

They tried to tell one of the big food companies that they had to create special labels if there was ANY GMO ingredients in their food. Passed a law, said it was illegal to sell food that was not marked.
So the food supplier instructed all distributors to NOT send any products to Vermont. The entire population of this state is smaller than a 10 square block of Manhattan. Sales here are a rounding error.
For about 3 months, grocery store shelves had big gaps in them. Folks had to drive to NY and NH and MA for staples.
They withdrew the law.
This will go no where. But the point is they are trying to create case law with Lawfare used as eco-terrorism.
IMHO, the oil companies need to tell Vermont... we will ship NO fuel to you. Problem sorts itself out in about 3 weeks when Vermonters finally get fed up and burn down Law Offices. Releasing glorious carbon.

One of my wife’s freinds built a beautiful house up there in the midst of COVID.
High priced NY lawyer, lives in CT.
Works her ass off and smart to the point where in response to my comment Biden has dementia was that he has a stutter.
She is very protective of my wife and to some extent probably looks at me with suspicion still after twenty odd years.
Despite her absolute loyalty and friendship to my wife she has no clue her politics took away 2/3 of our income and future financial security.
Well, if law and order breaks down totally some day, send me the address and we'll eat them first.

actually,that is a good idea. the gov is supposed to "protect" people. telling what poision big ag puts in the food qualifies. a few years ago some group put forward a bunch of new labeling laws. our parliament of whores modified,watered them down and allowed things to be hidden. that at the demand of their employers in big ag and big chem. i don't think it is unreasonable for producers of "food" to be required to tell you what's in it and how it got there.
Maine wont be for long. All those assholes from NJ and NY have been buying up the land and real estate. Give it a few years and it'll be just like where they came from.
I am 100% for no federal funding for all 50 states. No federal funding going out to any other nation.
I can go on and on about how to cut federal funding by gutting federal government. The federal employee pool should be the first purge of commies.
