FUN FACT: A lot of science fiction movies and TV shows that depict the interior of starships, especially to capture the rugged and gritty aesthetics of a military craft, would film their scenes and entire sequences aboard aircraft carriers and cargo planes such as the C-17. Done right, you really will not be able to tell the difference. A substantial part of the US military budget comes from renting out space aboard planes, bases, and ships for film production crews.
