I’m on the preorder list (like 130th in line) for the new version, but I didn’t see where they are selling the previous version anymore. It looks like they shut down production with the announcement of the new version (maybe at SHOT?) and haven’t produced anything since. Is that right? Are they delivering anything right now? My email wasn’t answered, will send another but wondered if anyone here had any info. Thanks

OK, so here's the deal for future customers' information: I saw an email from AMP that my order was ready for payment after waiting a month for my "number" to come up. I saw the email on a Sunday night. It said I had 24 hrs to submit payment or lose my place in line. The time stamp on the email was 1640 local, Saturday afternoon. Seeing as it was over the weekend, and no one normally does business over the weekend and I was busy catching up on things I can't do while working my job, I thought I would submit payment first thing Monday morning (mistake!). When I next checked my email Sunday night before bed, I saw another email from AMP stating my order had been cancelled for failure to pay. It was stamped 1645 local - 24hrs and FIVE MINUTES after the initial email, but only about an hour after I saw the first email. I went to the back of the line again. I emailed them and got my order re-instated, and fortunately I was only second in line. I was told to expect a "few" more weeks because they had sold everything in the recent shipment to the US that had included my original order. I squawked a bit about me waiting on them for a month, and they only gave me 24 hrs (actually only about an hour from the time I first saw the email), but said I reluctantly understood that their policy is their policy. A couple of days later I got another email saying I again had 24 hrs to make payment on my order. Having lost out once, I responded immediately this time. They sent a confirmation with information that my order was shipping direct from NZ. It arrived tonight, so all is well.

This not a complaint, but rather a cautionary tale. I only post this to say to other prospective buyers, if you order and then get an email that you have 24 hrs to make payment, they dang well mean "24 HRS", and no more - weekend (non-business days) or not. It seems a bit demanding to me, after waiting on them for a month to produce my order, but that's the way they play the game. It's their business model and they have their own reasons for it. "It is what it is", as they say. Just be aware "24 hrs" is a hard line.
