Still any love for the 6mm GT???

Im still waiting on my 6GT barrel for my AI, my gunsmith is going on month 7 of this project.... Is this normal wait time for such a simple job?
It shouldn't be. But the last two custom barrels I ordered took about 8 months on one and 6 months on the other. So it does happen. Im no gunsmith with any kind of pull though. One was a Bartlein Barrel and other a K&P 37 caliber for my 375 Cheytac.

I was thinking of ditching 6GT and just going Dasher since I'm running mine like a mild Dasher anyway (~2800-2850fps), but in the end, now that I know it'll shoot with as little as 32 grains and as slow as 2750fps, I'm good with it.
Man needs to do whatever he thinks will fit him best. Either choice is a good cartridge.

Another thing that's sort of nice about the GT versus a Dasher is I can put it on a steady diet of 115s without having to kick the shit out of my brass for decent speeds... which seems like a whole lot less of a PITA for more splash than jumping on the 25 cal bandwagon lol.

This is where I think the GT starts to make sense. There's enough case capacity to launch 115's without getting stupid about it.

115's are too much projectile for BRA or Dasher.

If you want “decent speeds” then why are you planning on running it like a dasher which 2750-2850 is with a 115, your posts seem at ends with each other.

I guess "decent speeds" means different things to different people... I'm looking for low recoil and something easy to spot, I'm not looking to push anything anywhere near its max. A 115gn @ ~2800fps is a 115gn @ ~2800fps, I don't really care what it comes out of, but running a Dasher like that means leaning on it, while in the GT it ain't shit.

exactly. if you're shooting clean controlled benchrest sometimes there can be benefit to running hot loads to lower SD.
you start adding rain or dust or carbon or 300 rounds no cleaning and you'll quickly learn why people shy away from it when other choices are readily available.
but who doesn't love a good bandwagon?
