Howa rifle in 350 legend for whitetail.

Old post but saw this went unanswered. I have one in a stockys stock. They now make that in a factory setup called a carbon stalker.

With Hornady white tail at 100-200 yards it is a very accurate setup. At 100 2 shots in the same hole on sight in have been done a few times.

Why not an AR? Adjustable stock grows as he gets bigger.

Bolt action only state? Remove the gas tube and reverse the gas block to well, block gasses, and it’s a bolt gun.

Easy day.

Lots of feeding issues with 350 legend in ARs from the guys I’ve known use one, and read about as well.

Also a lot easier to carry something that’s not all metal when it’s freezing rain/snow/cold out.

And you open up your ammo options as well.

I wonder why no one makes a 350 lever gun?

Looks like lots of choices in bolt guns.

A cursory search shows that a good deal of the available 350 legend ammunition has pointed bullets. Not a really good combination with a tubular mag…

It may have something to do with the 350L head spacing off of the case mouth rather than a Rim or shoulder. IIRC it mimics a 357 MAXIMUM in a case that is semi-automatic friendly. Of course I would be down for a 357 Max Lever Gun too.

Hornady makes a flexi tip bullet in 357 Mag, no stretch to imagine one for the 350 L.

I'd recommend you skip that first choice. Ammo availability is a big part of it and its year 1 in that action design and chambering for ruger, and 350 legend for the ruger american was problematic to begin with.

Ruger Americans in 350 legend arguably sell more in my state than any others, a few of our big 1-2 location hunting shops here even have their own limited editions directly produced by a few brands, to give you an idea on volume.

Its honestly incredible how often you see feeding issues with these rifles. Sample size of about 6 between my friends, every single one of us had to send it in for repair to have feeding issues resolved.

It would suck big time to spend your time hunting, scouting, and sitting out there, then miss the shot because the rifle jams right when you go to fire.
